Having Technical Difficulties Today.

Hey Guys!

Hope that everyone’s doing well today. Tomorrow is Friday and most people (me included) have a three day weekend coming up. :) WOOT!

I’ve had some technical difficulties today with my blackberry so there is no photo of breakfast. :( Not to worry…you guys have all seen my oatmeal a million times before so I don’t think one day is a huge deal…right? It was basically the same combo, but I added about 2 T of chopped walnuts and 1.5 t of organic ground flaxseed meal and I took out the dried cranberries. I needed tht extra crunch I think…

We had an interesting day at work today. At about 12:15 the fire alarm went off and it wasn’t a drill. With a school full of kids under the age of 6 that can be a crazy time! We got all the kids out (thankfully it wasn’t freezing today) everyone was accounted for. I ended up being outside on the same side of the school as Regan’s class which made things difficult for her because she was already very upset. She really does NOT like the fire alarm. I finally broke down and took her from one of her teachers and got her some what calmed down. After that we were able to go back inside and put them all down for a nap.

I had a quick lunch before heading into the Infant/Toddler room. I had packed another pita sandwich for today. It was really yummy. I used 2 T of roasted garlic hummus, about 1/4 c alfalfa sprouts, 2 slices of Yves veggie turkey, 1 slice of light muenster cheese and 1/2 of a roma tomato.

I’ve also been drinking a new tea today (that I don’t have a picture of!) and it is soooo yummy! It’s a cranberry pomegranate green tea. I drank the first glass hot and then had a glass of it iced with my lunch. I’m really loving it!

Element Bars sent me a bar to sample…THANKS Element Bar!! I’m hoping to have an Element Bar giveaway soon so keep checking back. They sent me a Krispy Ricky…

which was yummy, but more calories than I usually eat as a snack so I split it with Jason. I already ate my half and here’s my REVIEW…

The Krispy Ricky is very peanutty, which I like, but is more calories than I want for a snack and not enough for a meal. I love the tartness of the cherries with the sweetness of the chocolate chips. The bar is crispy which I also like. I feel like I’ve really eaten if I have a crunch! :) All in all the bar was pretty tasty.

Jason’s Review…

It’s crispy and nutty and chocolatey. I enjoyed it and it’s very filling. I’m good with only eating half of one. Even though I don’t have the option of eating anymore (since Maria ate the other half) I’m totally satisfied with the portion I had. Great bar…

So, there you have it folks…the Element Bar is a HIT!! Check them out by clicking here and see what you think!

    As a kid, I was terrified of fire alarms. And not just of them going off. I would scream if I saw one anywhere. Taking me to the airport or the mall was out of the question, because who wants to drag a screaming 5 year old through large crowds? I eventually out grew it LOL

      @Jen,
      So far we’re not at that extreme! She only screams when it actually goes off…so far. :)
