A quiet moment.

Hey Guys! I got the girls in bed and Jason’s not home from work yet so I’m stealing this quiet moment to do a quick post and go to bed. I haven’t worked out in over a week and I am definitely feeling it. I am so sleepy and just feel ‘egh’. My alarm is set for 5:30 and EVERYTHING is ready for tomorrow. Jason is working tomorrow night so he can be home with Regan while I’m at work. That is one less stress to worry about right now.

Anyway – while Regan was still napping this afternoon I had a quick chocolate fix while doing some writing.

I broke my heart…

And saved the other half for Linsey. I knew she would be thrilled! :)

About 5:30 Regan and I had to brave the cold weather and rush hour traffic to pick Linsey up from dance. Bleh… But I did a good deed while I was there.

I leave World Peace Project notes all over the place, but don’t always get a photo. Linsey is getting into it now too. She still asks me to leave one in the bathroom at her school… I’m going to send her with some and let her put them where she wants them. :)

Dinner was of the quick and easy variety this evening. It also happens to be one that the girls like and I was not in the mood to argue about food. I wanted a peaceful evening with my girls watching American Idol. ;)

The components of this meal are simple and don’t need to be measured. There really isn’t any preparing involved – it’s just cooking some items and throwing them together.

And 4 undocumented Morningstar Farms Buffalo Wings is all you need. I like to call this dish Tuesday Night Pasta. :) I like a name that tells you what it is…

After my spicy meal I needed a little bite of something sweet which I generally do after dinner. It helps me signal myself that the eating portion of the day is over.

Back to work tomorrow, but new things are happening in the world of RFM so keep checking back for the latest updates!! I’m working on something exciting – besides my book.

I leave you with some more of the questions from the Ask Me Anything challenge. There are some really good ones tonight…

1. Why/When did you become a vegetarian?

I flirted with vegetarianism while we lived in Portland, Oregan in 2002. I officially made the switch some time during that year mainly because I read an amazing book by John Robbins called ‘Diet For A New America’. It opened my eyes to many things I had no idea were going on and I just couldn’t bring myself to eat another animal after that. I quickly realized how much it effected my health (positively) and that was another motivator for me. I chose to change Linsey’s diet then too and have had no regrets. Regan was born vegetarian and Jason is very supportive. I gave up control over fish where the girls are considered because Jason asked me to, but so far they haven’t wanted to try it anyway. It’s all about give and take.

2. Do you like to blog all the time?

Most of the time I do. I am really trying to build something out of this blog so I make sure to hit it at least once a day, but my goal is 2-3 times a day. I LOVE writing so blogging is another outlet for me.

3. How long have you been married?

Jason and I got married on August 19, 2000. In some ways it seems like a lifetime ago and other ways it seems like a matter of days. Weird…

And by the way, everything in life is writable about if you have the outgoing guts to do it, and the imagination to improvise.  The worst enemy to creativity is self-doubt.  ~ Sylvia Plath
