Can I Get a Snow Day Please?

Hey Guys…

How is your Monday so far?? Mine? Well – let’s just say I wanted a snow day and didn’t get one. So as the snow falls this afternoon I’m praying we get one tomorrow. Yeah, I know, a snow day means I’ll be stuck at home and will have the girls home, but I’ll still be able to stay in my pj’s or play out in the snow AND get laundry done and dishes done and vacuum and…you get the point.

So that’s what I’m praying for today.

Confession time: I haven’t worked out since Friday. Saturday and Sunday were SO packed with stuff that had to be done before the party and for the party and because of the party that it just never happened. So, basically I made it 5 days in a row of the 30 Day Shredd, but that’s what life is about – no? It’s about making plans and having to adjust them because life just happens sometimes. So – back into it tomorrow.

My work day started much earlier than usual today because my co worker was off. No biggie, but that’s why working out didn’t happen today (yet) but I’m not holding my breath that it will happen tonight. I can say I will try…

Breakfast was yummy though!

Nothing new in this morning’s breakfast, but oh my was it yummy! Sunday oats, a big scoop of almond butter, the last  scoop of pumpkin butter, about 1 tbsp of dried cranberries and 1/2 of a banana. My trusty travel mug of coffee by my side the entire time…morning’s aren’t all that bad – are they??

After breakfast I also started my 2 week detox and cleanse care of Jillian Michaels. I’ll let you know the results at the end of the 2 weeks, but here’s what one dose looks like for the first week…

I will take this x’s two for seven days.

While browsing twitter this morning I came across a tweet from a blogger (hope I can say) friend that I really liked…

@ThenHeatherSaid – “I DARE you to leave someone a “thank you for being you” note, today. Special Agent, kindness division; JUST DO IT.”

This “dare” was right up my alley (World Peace Project anyone??)

So – since I was working solo and knew that a co worker and I had been having a rough time last week I thought I would leave a note for her to find when she returns to work tomorrow.

Kindness Accomplished!!

Lunch was pretty fantastic today too. I made another one of my crazy sandwich concoctions and today’s did not disappoint.

I used two slices of Rudi’s Organic Bakery 7 grain and flax bread, with Ah! Zeefa-Hot lentil dip, a slice of muenster cheese, about 3 tomato slices, mixed baby greens, 2 slices smoked tofurky and 1/4 avocado sliced. I also had about 1/2 cup of red seedless grapes. HOLY YUM!!!

While waiting to pick Linsey up from school, Regan and I played in the car…

She was SOOOOO excited that Lady Gaga was on the radio that she just couldn’t contain herself!!

Then we watched the snow fall…

And for Linsey to come out of school…

When it was a couple minutes before she was supposed to come out Regan talked me into getting out and playing in the snow. I think she had fun just walking around and checking out her footprints. :)

Now we’re home and the girls are snacking on goldfish (the cracker NOT the actual animal  )

I’ve got to get my jumbo pot of Famous Chili back on the stove and get it warming up for dinner. Check ya later…
