Happy Easter RFM readers. This weekend has been jam packed with fun, family and chocolate, but sadly it’s back to work tomorrow.
There is so much to talk about that happened this weekend, but here’s a photo gallery instead…
And now for the best giveaway since a night in Chicago!!!
If you’ve been reading RFM for any length of time you already know that I LOVE Bob’s Red Mill products. I use their pancake mixes, flaxseed meal and flours all the time. Well, the good people at Bob’s have given me some great products to giveaway to you. I have 6 bags of organic ground flaxseed meal and three lucky readers will each get 2 bags.
Awesome right!!! All you have to do is leave me a comment telling me what you cannot wait to add flaxseed meal to. Sunday night Linsey will pick her 3 favorite and viola…you will have your very own flaxseed meal!!
I will be out all weekend on a girl scout camping trip so I have decided that there are going to be some changes to the format of RFM. Monday thru Friday I will be posting like I normally do – 2 to 3 posts with my eats, my work outs and my funny stories about the crazy things my family is up to. The weekends are going to be little to no posting simply because the weather is so nice now and the girls want to be outside as much as possible. I will still take photos of my eats and anything I think is really awesome and give a photo gallery post on Sunday evening.
This is just a trial run and we’ll see how it goes. Things may stay this way or they may go back to the “old” way or it may end up being a combination of both. Either way – weekday posts won’t change.
Nighty night readers…catch ya on the flip side!!

i have actually never used flaxseed and have no idea what i would put it in, but i’m always up for experimenting! maybe cookies??
Looks like you had a nice time! I don’t typically post on the weekends either unless I have something I really want to post or have prepared in advance.
I add flax to my oatbran everyday!!
Yum! Flaxseed!
I like to add it to chocolate chip banana bread because the flaxseed cancels out the chocolate… or so I like to think. =)
Hi! I just came across your blog via Carrots n Cake and think I’m gonna love it already…because your eats look AMAZE and I <3 Bob's Red Mill, too!
I've never had flax but I've been wanting to try it and can't wait to try it in my oatmeal/oatbran and baking

Love Flaxseed meal , I use it in my oatmeal and my green monsters .
. Since my husband is a vegetarian , his family does not eat eggs , so he is not used to the taste of it , hence I try to bake eggless stuff , mostly with egg replacer , lately I have started substuting flaxseed meal instead , as a person who eats eggs atleast once every week , I couldn’t tell the difference … P.S Love u’r blog , i recently started reading it ….
I would add it to my delicious banana bread and probably to a smoothie or two!
Just recently found your blog. I am new to the blogging world myself. If you get the chance please check me out at http://www.mymamaruns.com
it’s a work in progress
New reader here via Carrots n Cake. I’m a fit mama myself! I would love to put some of that flax seed meal in the strawberry banana smoothies my daughter begs for in the morning!
Thanks
Hi! Found you via Carrots n Cake – I attempt to be a fit mama myself (although, I’m 9 months pregnant at the moment and not feeling very “fit!”) I put flax in my oatmeal EVERY morning, and also use it to make “flax eggs” in vegan cookies…I throw it is smoothies and pancakes…flax is a busy helper around our house.
@Janelle LOVED being pregnant, but am oh so done with that!!
I, too, use flax as an egg replacer to make things vegan! Thanks for checking out the blog and good luck with the little time you have left in the pregnancy…you’ll be a fit mama again soon enough!
Hi found your site via Carrots n Cake. I LOVE your blogs. I am a HS mother of 2 and your blogs give me some much needed laughs through out my day. I have never used flax in anything. I have been reading about it on your blog and Carrots n Cake and think it would be a real boost to our baking.
i just added this on my shopping list for the weekend. i am looking to use it as a egg replacer as well. also as a way to make my oatmeal even better!
I love Bob’s Red Mill products! I’ve used Flax in Pumpkin Muffins before but I was just looking on the website and there are a bunch of recipes that look really great and I’d love to try them out!
I love added Flax to my smoothies and juices, but by far my favorite “flax trick” is adding a bit of water and using it as an egg substitute in baking recipes. It works wonderfully!
