A New Restaurant!

So last night the Sparks’ set off on a walk to the Loop for dinner. Jason is done with classes (save 1 final on Tuesday) and he sold his books back to the book store. Since he was “rolling in the dough” he decided to take his girls to dinner.

We set off with the intention of going to Qdoba. We love that place, so do the girls and it’s cheap. However, as we approached the corner where it sits we noticed that an old restaurant was no more and a new one was in it’s place. :)

We took a seat out on the patio and the view was beautiful!

The Market House Pub has an interesting 5, 6, 7 menu which means that everything costs either $5, $6, or $7. Cool right?!

We started with vegetarian spring rolls.

They had a really great flavor and were filled with veggies, but they were greasier than I would have liked. When I think spring roll – I don’t think greasy so that was a little disappointing. :(

My meal was the veggie hummus wrap.

The wrap just ok. The hummus was a little boring, but it was loaded with veggies which is always a plus.

As a side Jason and I split the sweet potato fries.

These were FANTASTIC!!!!! Even Linsey got in on them and LIKED them.

The girls had the mac n cheese, which I tried and LOVED! It was real macaroni and cheese with bread crumbs and crunch and ooey gooey goodness. Plus, they make their own applesauce! It was chunky and sweet and apple-y…YUM!

This morning we got up and had breakfast together as a family again – which I am loving right now! The girls were boring and wanted cheerios so cheerios they got. I, on the other hand, wanted oats. So oats I had…

My sunday oatswere topped with a few dried cranberries and chopped walnuts for texture and a tbsp of peanut butter because I have an addiction. I also had a coffee mug filled with water. I’m trying to be good! :)

After taking the girls to school Jason and I spent the entire day running around checking out restaurant equipment and kitchen stuff. We had lunch at one of my favorite places, McGurk’s and then ran past the company that is making our shirts for the deli.

I took some pictures while at lunch, but I’m crunched for time right now so I’ll do a proper review tonight.

Don’t forget to enter the think Thin bar giveaway. Peace Out!!!

We were supposed to see Alice in Chains while in Memphis, but that ended up not happening. I’ll explain in my Memphis recap, but for your viewing pleasure here’s Alice in Chains Would?
