Back to what I normally do…almost!

HI!!! I have to tell you that I am so excited to be back to a normal blogging schedule/routine. Last week totally threw me for a loop and I didn’t get nearly everything done that I had planned. If you are one of the winners of the think Thin bars I am sending you out a HUGE apology!! I have the bars wrapped and ready to send, but have not yet made it to the post office. I PROMISE that will happen this week.

Since I was horribly sick all weekend I decided to give myself another day of no working out, but my body is telling me LOUDLY that I don’t need anymore rest days. I have been having a hard time waking up in the mornings and I know it was partly because I was sick, but also partly because I haven’t been working out like I should. So tomorrow I plan on letting Jillian Michaels kick my A*# around 6:00 AM!

How does your body let you know it’s needing something??

Breakfast was simple, but tasty this morning.

I took two of the girl’s frozen waffles and toasted them. Then I added a tbsp of almond butter to one and a tbsp of my strawberry-rhubarb jam to the other. Ignore that mug of coffee. That was actually Jason’s that I didn’t even NOTICE till just now. I actually had a mug of orange juice that wasn’t in the pic.

Then I put the two together and made a pb&j waffle sammie!

This breakfast is pretty filling and easy to eat. Don’t you love my Teletubbies plate??

Before heading out I whipped up a green monster for my lunch.

Into my blender I crammed:

I poured it into a travel mug and hit the road!

Once I got Linsey dropped off Regan and I stopped at the grocery store to buy some change for the deli. On the way there she tells me from the back seat, “Mama – I don’t want to go a school. I want go the store and go home. That is my choice.”

Sorry Monkey Girl!!! School is the only choice during the week unless you’re running a fever, throwing up or Mommy feels like playing hookie!! Needless to say she went to school…

The day went really well at Maria’s Deli. We’re starting to get the hang of things slowly, but surely. I made a few mistakes with the register and forgot to ask a few people the right questions, but all in all it’s coming together.

As for the big reveal post?? Yeah – that’s not happening. :( Somehow while messing with the pictures yesterday in my medicated state I deleted the entire Maria’s Deli folder from my memory card!! The only pics I have now are the ones I’ve already posted in previous blog posts. BUT!!! I will take more pictures over the weeks to come and then show you. We aren’t finished painting anyway so I want you to see the COMPLETELY finished product.

After closing down for the day I picked Linsey up from school, then Regan and we headed over to Target. Linsey’s last day of school is Friday and she wanted to get her teacher a farewell gift. I wanted an iced coffee from the Starbucks that is conveniently located inside!

Gonna peace out for now! Have to make the family some dinner…

Mothers are those wonderful people who can get up in the morning before the smell of coffee.  ~ Author Unknown
