HI! So like I said earlier – Jason and I were out ALL day looking at kitchen equipment and what we thought was a restaurant auction. It turned out to be a dive bar in a seedy part of town with patrons at the bar at 9:50  in the morning :eek: selling off some old used stuff. BUMMER!

So after we spent the afternoon picking out reach in coolers (energy star approved), to go containers (all bio-degradable), and panini presses we were SUPER HUNGRY! We weren’t too far from one of my favorite St Louis restaurants, McGurk’s!

This is a St Louis establishment and if you’re Irish (or just want to pretend you are) it’s THE place to go! I really love coming here and it just being Jason and me made it that much better.

Their menu is great and the decorations all over the building remind me of old Ireland (or what I imagine old Ireland to be like )

While we waited for our food Jason made notes for the deli…work, work, work!

He ordered his usual – the prime rib sandwich. (Note: Jason’s NOT a vegetarian)

I ordered MY usual – the veggie sandwich. (Note: I’m the vegetarian!)

Their sandwiches come with house made Irish chips and they are sooooo good! We drizzled a little malt vinegar over the top and munched away.

You can’t go to McGurk’s and NOT have their whiskey bread pudding. So we had it and it was great!

If you live in St Louis or are going to be here EVER – GO TO McGURK’S!! You won’t regret it!!
