Hi…how’s it going today?
It’s quite gloomy and wet here today and that totally bums me out because as of right now it doesn’t look good for me to get in my (at least) 30 minutes of cardio. I really don’t like breaking commitments (especially for something silly like rain!) but when there’s nothing you can do about it – don’t fret. Right? At least I can get in a shred work out later this evening.
I’m thinking about turning the radio on really loud and making Regan dance around the house with me for about 30 minutes. That counts as cardio – no??
We’ll see how the evening progresses…
I had planned on shredding before getting ready for the day, but Regan made sure that didn’t happen. She woke up crying about a bad dream around 6:15 this morning and insisted on lying with me in my bed. Jason had already gone to the deli (which you can now follow on twitter and like on facebook!) so I was left to deal with the Monkey Girl alone. I enjoyed our snuggle time and knew I could shred tonight.
My breakfast was quite yummy this morning! Regan was feeling boring and only wanted cereal, but I already had my mind made up on breakfast at bedtime last night.
A raw oat pancake…
Before you go to bed combine 1/2 c raw rolled oats, 1/2 c liquid egg whites, 1/4 tsp of baking powder and a dash of cinnamon. Cover with plastic wrap and put in the fridge. In the morning plop it onto a hot skillet and cook like a regular pancake. I top mine with a tbsp of peanut butter, a tbsp of strawberry-rhubarb jam and 1/2 of a banana.
A coffee mug of orange juice made my breakfast perfect!!
After getting Regan dropped off at school for the day I made it to the deli before the rain set in – thankfully! We were B-U-S-Y today. I’m talking nonstop movement and it was great. We’re still not where we want to be, but it looks more and more like we will get there as long as we keep making people happy!
I finally had time to eat some lunch around 1:30. I made a super yummy veggie sandwich. It had mayo, spicy mustard, cucumbers, tomatoes, red onions, smoked gouda and a sweet thai chile cole slaw. YUMMMMMMM!
I also had a small cup of Jason’s potato soup that hit the spot.
A little later, during clean up, I munched on a chocolate chip cookie, but it slipped past the camera – as cookies sometimes do. I always come clean about them though!!
Regan has now settled herself on our bed and is working on some puzzles. Jason is in the kitchen doing dishes and I guess that all means it time for me to make dinner. Jason has requested breakfast for dinner. I’m game! Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day!!
If you missed it – I wrote my post yesterday about “living my life by the numbers” and I’m really curious to hear your thoughts. You can see the post by clicking here. Read it. Leave a comment telling me what you think or how you feel or if you too “live life by the numbers”. I’m very interested in reading your responses.
I also had a guest poster on Sunday that (I’m almost embarrassed to say) gave me chills when she agreed to participate in the I’m A Vegetarian series. I have been reading her blog for quite sometime and was HONORED that she shared her story with me and my readers. You can read that post by clicking here. I’m very proud of this series and would like to hear your feed back on this topic too.
Peace Out friends!!

So glad the deli is going so well! I hope it just gets better and better!
