Is there a Dr in the house??

I managed my 2 mile power walk and I did it carrying 3lb hand weights. My time was a bit slower (combination of the heat and the weights??) but I did it none the less. I finished in 32 minutes. Not great, but not bad considering.

When I got back Linsey and I headed out for her ballet class, but made a small detour on the way.

Great Harvest Bread Co has some of the best bread around! The cinnamon swirl is my all time favorite for making french toast and Linsey has been requesting it for a while now – so tonight I gave in. I’m telling you she REALLY had to twist my arm… ;)

The have the coolest products in the store too.

Tons of bread…of course!

Awesome jams, jellies and nut butters. Many of which are even locally made!

We sampled the High 5 Fiber and Honey Whole Wheat (which only has 5 ingredients!)

Linsey was in HEAVEN!!! And in her ballet uniform. In the end we settled on the cinnamon swirl and a loaf of honey whole wheat. Then we left before I spent all my money!

After dance was over it was time to head home and get dinner going. I had been craving a Dr Praeger California burger ALL DAY!!! So that’s what we had.

I topped mine with a slice of muenster cheese and laid it on a bed of baby spinach to up the nutrition factor! On the side we had roasted parsnip “fries”. This is a side dish I’ve seen on a few blogs, but the last place was on Caitlin’s blog Healthy Tipping Point.

The parsnips were a hit with Regan, but Linsey wasn’t as enthused…as I figured it would go. Maybe one day she’ll be more adventurous with her food choices…maybe.

Jason surprised me with what I consider to be my biggest “food splurge” these days.

I’ve been savoring it and taking very slow and concise sips ALL night.

Needless to say I’ve been surrounded by my favorite doctor’s all evening and couldn’t be happier. And as for the food choices in this house the past couple of days – I’ve come to a conclusion…I need to hire Caitlin to be my personal chef!!

Tomorrow brings the end of my Snikkidy giveaway so be sure to enter for your chance to win!!

G’night…I’m off to watch Bethenny Getting Married!

Ohhh I love the GABC too!!!! I first discovered them a few months back when they were selling bread at an open air market and then realized that actually had a store about 25 minutes away from where I live here in PA. Our fav is the High 5 Fiber, it makes delicious french toast too. But I absolutely LOVE their muffins. So good and good for you being all natural!
