Another day of go, go, go! I guess getting what you wish for can be a pain in the ass sometimes…
Jason and I have wanted to be our own bosses forever, but there is that rare occasion when you wish someone else was “in charge”…like when your two year old is sick and can’t go to school and YOU are the boss that you would have normally called to get the day off.
Luckily my mom is off work for a few weeks recuperating from surgery (it’s been long enough that she’s getting around just find) and can come over to take care of said two year old for the afternoon. WHEW… Dramatic event avoided.
Now – on to food!
Breakfast was another bowl of overnight oats, but slightly different this time. I added about 1/4 c of fresh blueberries to the mix. YUM!
All that was in this bowl is 1/2 c old fashioned oats, 1/2 c vanilla almond milk, 1 tbsp ground flaxseed meal, 1/4 c fresh blueberries and 1 scoop Nuttzo. Full tummy = Happy girl!
We had a HUGE catering delivery this morning ($135 worth) which was great. We are really needing that kind of business, but it helped put us a little behind with other things too. We worked it out and got things done while having a good friend come and take photographs while we worked. We’re hoping to get our website up and running pretty soon to unveil our new menu!
I snacked on a chobani yogurt about noon.
Lunch was the exact same as yesterday – just on a different plate.
After we closed, got things cleaned up and got home Jason went for another 4.2 mile cardio session with me. I have laid off of running for the time being due to some minor discomfort in my right hip. Right now it’s minor, but not having health insurance I don’t want to risk turning it into something serious so I’m not gonna push it!
When we got Regan from school her teachers were in the process of taking her temperature and sure enough – Monkey Girl had a fever. That means no school for her tomorrow, but my mom’s a savior and will be here tomorrow morning at 9am to stay with her.
When we got to the car and asked her what she wanted to do she didn’t hesitate to say, “Eat at Sweet Amatoes!” So – once again that’s what we did.
Thank goodness for buy one get one free coupons!!
I ate…
and…
When we got home there was a package for Regan from her Aunt Marilyn and she wasted no time opening it up!
Then she crashed in my bed about 8:45.
Which is exactly what I’m getting ready to do…
