Just talked to my mom and she told me that she dropped Linsey off at my aunt’s house…SHE’S GOING TO CAMP!!!
I had a feeling deep down that would be her “final answer” but had a little nervousness that she would pass up the opportunity due to homesickness. I know that she’s going to have a great time and be so glad she went!
Dinner ended up being a tad on the sweet side.
In the end I made some banana – chocolate soft serve. It ended up being a little “softer” than I wanted and I tried adding another 1/2 of a banana, but it still was too soft.
It was more like banana – chocolate soup, but it tasted great non the less. It was NOT photo friendly and I passed on posting a picture. In the blender I put 1.5 bananas, 1 scoop Dark Chocolate Dream, splash of vanilla almond milk and 2 Newman’s O’s. It was quite delicious.
Time for Regan’s bath and jammies.

What’s your favorite non-dinner dinner??
Happy Sunday evening…

So I have a question! When do you eat breakfast when you exercise in the morning? Is it better to eat something beforehand, or do you get up and out of bed and go straight into a run, then come back to a breakfast? Does the answer change for a long or short exercise, or the type? I know when I go hiking, I always eat a filling breakfast because I know I might be gone for awhile and need something to keep me moving. But that’s usually a long drive and a long hike. What about for early morning runs like you do?
This weekend, my roommate and I went to Creve Coeur Lake and walked the 3.7 miles trail around the lake both on Saturday and Sunday. I ate breakfast beforehand because I tend to be hungry when I get up, or get VERY hungry an hour or so after. I always eat on these occasions because it’s a 20 minute drive, and takes us about an hour to complete the circle, plus 20 minutes back. I figure it’s ok because of the long time between getting up and finishing exercise, and the fact that we’re walking, not running.
@ Kara – I actually haven’t done a morning run in forever (:() but when I was doing them I didn’t eat before hand. It made me feel sick to my stomach, but not everyone is the same.
These days I’ve been running later in the afternoon and eaten breakfast, snack and lunch, but I’ve had time to let my food digest and settle.
In the end it’s really what works for you. I don’t think there is one simple answer to this question (believe me – I’ve looked!) but if what you’re doing feels good to you – keep doing it!
