Good afternoon evening. I finally made it home from work, cardio and picking up Regan. I really need a shower, but all I have time for is a “whore bath” (:lol:) and then we’re out the door again. We’re trying to spend time with Regan doing things that she likes to help keep her mind off the fact that Linsey is gone. So far it seems to working.
We were finally busy today at the deli!! It was a steady flow of people all day long which is EXACTLY what we want! I started to munch on a new larabar…
but sadly I was NOT loving this flavor. I really wanted to because chocolate/cherry is one of my favorite flavor combos. Unfortunately this one just didn’t work.
I only ended up eating half because it wasn’t great AND we started getting busy right then so I just didn’t have the time.
Once we closed I was able to eat a real lunch.
I went with a large garden salad (romaine, spring mix, tomatoes, cucumbers, red onions, banana peppers and homemade croutons) then topped it with 2 tbsp of caesar dressing.
I made two small pieces of garlic cheese bread out of half of a whole wheat hoagie, chopped garlic and mozzarella cheese.
I WAS STUFFED!
Once my lunch settled and I got home I did a quick wardrobe change and hit the pavement. It was still 96 degrees outside with a heat index of almost 105 degrees. I dressed in running shorts, a sports bra and two bottles of water. My route was originally 5 miles, but I turned a little early and ended up doing 4.2 miles instead.
With the heat and the fact that my hip is still bothering me (and starting to worry me a tad) I made it a power walk instead. I finished in 59 minutes.
WHAT! WHAT!
I must admit that I was pretty proud of myself. It isn’t my fastest time by far, but with all the circumstances around today’s session I could have easily just said F it and not gone at all.
That’s called dedication my friends…
and now I’m dedicated to cleaning my sweaty, smelly, rock star ass off and going out with my family for a fun filled Friday night.

OK….so I’ve been meaning to ask how you make or what kind of caesar dressing you use? I use to LOVE caesar salads until I found out it had anchovies in it…….GAG. It’s totally just a mind thing for me but if you use one without anchovies, I’d love to know what it is!!!!!
@ Jessica – I use a vegan caesar dressing by Spectrum Naturals. It is so yummy, but a little pricey. I pay around $5.00 for a bottle, but in my opinion it’s totally worth it!
