There are days when the words flow from my brain to my fingers faster than I can type them out. I love those days. I relish in those days. I have started a zillion different books on those days. Maybe I will finish a book on one of those days.
Today is NOT one of those days.
My brain is foggy. My stomach has been growling all day and my house is a wreck. I woke up not having much on the agenda, but I knew what was on for breakfast.
Those would be banana infused Bob’s Red Mill high fiber pancakestopped with strawberry chobani and a fruit medley with a drizzle of maple syrup. Eating this meal made my heart happy.
Screaming, yelling, hitting and throwing toys girls did not make my heart happy.
They made me want to pull my hair out. They made me want to throw things, scream, yell and hit too, but instead (I did do a little bit of yelling) I packed them up, threw Regan in the stroller, slathered them both with sunscreen and dragged them to the pool.
They needed some exercise and I needed to relax in the kiddie pool while Regan “watered me” with the watering can so that “my flowers” will grow. Does that work on boobs too???
We took a break half way through the day for a little pick me up.
Mommy needed a snack too!
Linsey stole the camera and snapped my picture. She thought I needed to “see what it felt like”…so here ya go.
We stayed at the pool for a total of 3 hours and then packed up the stroller and walked home. Regan was asleep before we made it to our block.
So I got her in bed and then hit the fridge. Swimming and the sun makes me HANGRY!
I turned the left over cheddar veggie scramble into a salad. I warmed it up, plopped it onto a handful of fresh spinach and then topped it with the last of my Athenos tomato & basil feta.
It was awfully tasty.
Linsey and I dove into a slice on (unphotographed) apple pie while watching Erin Brokevich on USA. I keep seeing previews for Eat, Pray, Love and am soooooooo ready to see this movie.
Who am I kidding – I’m ready to pack up and travel for the rest of my life a year. Maybe some day…
In case you were wondering – I was very controlled last night and didn’t take one bite of the banana bread.
That will definitely change at some point today. I can just tell.
Our good friend, Jeff, came to the deli last week and shot a ton of really great photos for us that will hopefully go up on our future website. Take a look at the awesome job he did and the awesome job we’re doing by clicking here!
Have you read my email from Ashley yet? I think she is a woman who could really use our help.

You are one hot and sexy mama! I hope some day to get into that shape once this baby gets here!
@ Diana – THANK YOU!! Luckily Linsey is a great photographer (
) and kept my better parts in the shot and my not-as-good parts out!!
That girl knows how to take a great photo!
