I am sooooooooo glad that it’s Friday. This weekend will be crazy, but I am so ready for it. The girls and I have a little surprise for Jason up our sleeves and all will be revealed tomorrow.
Let’s just say that Sunday is Jason’s birthday and we’re going to do it up right!
But first – let’s get the formalities out of the way.
I got up this morning and got my 30 minutes of cardio in first thing. It was a little hard to get up, but once I was out the door it felt great being outside with my iPod and nothing else. I picked the hilliest route I could find and just pounded it out. My legs were definitely feeling it half way in, but isn’t that the point of hills??
Once I got home and was all clean and smelling good it was time for some breakfast.
This was a simple mixture of Nature’s Path Raisin Bran and Kashi’s Strawberry Fields. It’s my favorite cereal breakfast.
Had to make a quick trip to Target to pick up Jason’s meds and a warm treat for myself as well.
I really do LOVE that there is a Starbucks inside Target. It’s my one stop shopping dream!
Had a long day at the deli – yada yada yada. Then made myself a yummy veggie sandwich.
It was half of a whole wheat hoagie with avocado spread, mayo, smoked gouda, tomatoes, red onions, pickles, banana peppers and cucumbers – plus a small bag of bbq chips.
Jason’s gone fishing with my dad and the girls and I are watching Marmaduke while eating PB&J sammies. I might even enjoy a super yummy, sugar, neon colored cupcake a little later. Yep – I just might.
SILENT AUCTION TIME
Like I’ve said, I really want to be able to attend the Foodbuzz Blogger Festival in San Francisco. It’s quite costly to fly there from St Louis and have a hotel for two or three nights so some really awesome people have donated things for me to auction off here on RealFitMama. I am unbelievably grateful for their help and the fact that they think enough of me to help me make this dream come true.
To start things off I’m going local. This item is open to anyone who lives in or around the metropolitan St Louis area. A dear friend of ours (who happens to own Serendipity Homemade Ice Cream) has put together an AWESOME package for one local St Louis-an.
Becky Jacobs and Serendipity have been named some of St Louis’ best ice cream on more than one occasion since opening in 2003. Located in the heart of Webster Groves and using local products to make this ice cream – I can tell you from personal experience that this is amazing stuff.
Here’s what Becky has offered my amazing readers.
- 1 quart of ice cream a month for one full year
- you choose the flavor from the quart case in the shop
- this package would normally retail around $84
Here’s the way the silent auctions will work.
- Most packages will have a minimum bid start
- It will work like any other silent auction.
- If you are interested in the package place your bid in the comment section along with your name.
- Auctions will be open for two weeks.
- The highest bidder at the end of the two weeks will win the package.
- I’ll send you an email if you are the winner.
- You can put your winning bid directly into my GoFundMe account.
- I will mail you the information regarding your prize package.
Let the bidding on the Serendipity Homemade Ice Cream package begin. Remember that it is only open to St Louis residents (and surrounding areas) only. You will get certificates good for 1 quart of ice cream a month for 1 year. It must be redeemed at the shop in Webster Groves. Since the package retails for $84 the minimum bid will start at $25.
This auction will close at midnight CST October 1, 2010.
HAPPY BIDDING!!!
If you would like to help me go to San Francisco, but don’t want to bid on any of the items being donated for silent auctions you can also make a direct donation to my GoFundMe page. Every little bit helps!
Now – enjoy one of my all time favorite songs from high school.
