Labor Day is over. Well – it will be in a matter of hours, but for us it’s pretty much done. The girls are in bed and we’ll be heading that way shortly. Another long weekend draws to an end.
We had issues with getting our Direct TV set up, but I’m over it now. We’ll have it in a week or so. Oh well…I can live without Real Housewives and Intervention a little longer. Hopefully GLEE doesn’t start before everything is installed.
For lunch I heated up some leftover vegetable fried rice.
But after a few bites I realized that it was NOT what I wanted so I stopped eating. That is what I call intuitive eating!!
After we realized a few of our friends were heading to the pool for one last hoorah of the summer we decided that sounded like the perfect way to spend the rest of the afternoon. Regan told me, with NO hesitation, that she was not going to take a nap so I figured what the hell! We got on our suits and walked on over. I forgot my camera so there isn’t one picture, but that’s ok. Sometimes you need an afternoon without a camera in your face (says Linsey).
After over two hours of splashing, sliding, jumping, crying and visiting with friends we called it a night. It was after 5:00 and everyone had rumbly tummies. We walked the few blocks home only to remember that we hadn’t been to the grocery store yet.
Jimmy Johns came to our rescue!
I unwrapped the love and inside was a beautiful veggie sandwich all for me!
And a bag of kettle cooked bbq chips to go with it. YUM!
We managed to get ALL of our pictures hung up around the house and I promise to post “new house pics” this week. I just let the evening get away from me and didn’t take any to post tonight. You’ve gotten some sneak peaks this weekend though. And to all of you who commented on our hardwood floors – THANK YOU! We love them too.
I hope everyone has enjoyed their Labor Day weekend and pray that those of you who are not with your family and friends, but are in some other part of the world serving our country are safe, warm and know you are loved.
Gotta walk the dogs.
Good night…
