This weekend has been so great. I didn’t eat myself into oblivion and feel so sick that I had to be rolled to the car too much at either of our Thanksgiving celebrations.
Really!
I didn’t!
Ok…I may have eaten a bit too much pumkpin beer bread pudding, but I have gotten in great workouts every single day we’ve been off. I count that as a HUGE accomplishment.
I’ve also become quite addicted to Words With Friends since Jason replaced my cracked up blackberry with an iPhone 4.
If you are crazily addicted and can’t seem to put down your iPhone enjoy a good game of scrabble now and then please feel free to play with me. I’m “RealFitMama” … Duh!
This morning we woke up to cold temperatures and yucky rain. BOO!
So after Regan and I made coffee and juice – I got busy making breakfast while Jason and Linsey slept in. Normally we go to First Watch on Sunday mornings or have pancakes, but today I was in the mood for something savory (all that giving of thanks has pushed my sweet tooth to it’s limit) and decided to recreate what I like to order at First Watch.
I roasted up the last of the fingerling potatoes we had, cooked some veggie bacon and fried two eggs for everyone. The girls weren’t interested in eating it “as a bowl” but that’s the best way (in my opinion) to do it…topped with a little bit of sharp cheddar and red pepper flakes then drizzled with a bit of ketchup. On the side is always a mug of piping hot coffee!
Weird? I think not…
We all sat around the breakfast table, in our pajamas and dug in. I love Sunday mornings at home. Eating in your jammies is the absolute best!
Today will be filled with a few un-fun things like laundry, dishes, vacuuming and such, but all of it will be done in pajamas. The theme for today is “Pajama Sunday”. I plan on doing yoga in my pajamas, cleaning house in my pajamas and watching Christmas movies with the girls in my pajamas.
YAY FOR PAJAMAS!!
I also plan on starting something new on Sundays. Making goals for the week. Fitness goals. House work goals. Family goals. And so on…
Fitness Goals:
- Sunday – Yoga
- Monday – Core Synergistics
- Tuesday – Kenpo
- Wednesday – Yoga & Afternoon Run (weather permtting)
- Thursday – Kettlebell
- Friday – CardioX
- Saturday – Kenpo
- Sunday – Yoga
Housework Goals:
- M, W, F – vacuum/sweep
- Tues, Wed – laundry
- stay on top of the dishes
- Wed – clean the bathroom
Family Goals:
- This week is the last week before Linsey’s Nutcracker performances. My goals for this week are to give Regan as much attention as possible since everyone is going to be running around like madmen with extra rehearsals, stage set up, dress rehearsal and the actual performances.
- Keep Linsey on top of her homework until Thursday because after Wednesday evening she won’t have a free minute for anything BUT dancing.
- Keep Jason from stressing out as he gets closer to finals.
Today I’m thankful for:
- warm pajamas
- Christmas movies
- words with friends

Hey RFM,
Ok so this may seem like a completely random comment and it is but
I love eggs with ketchup as well! This made my day (its the little things) my husband thinks am the weirdest person because I eat eggs especially fried eggs with ketchup but he just doesn’t get it. Even with his look of disgust (drama king) I enjoy them, he’s from Italy and says he’s never send anyone do that I tell him its an American thing but he never bought it now I have your photo as proof.
Sending you some warmth from Florida
My Grandmother told me it was a Southern thing!!
Either way – I eat it. I love it. I’M NOT SORRY!!
