a book club

I am in love with Jane Austen.

I get lost in the words, the conversation, the description, the relationships.

Pride and Prejudice has always been my absolute favorite. I wanted to be Elizabeth Bennet and find my very own Mr Darcy. I wanted to be strong like her, brave like her, outspoken like her.

I haven’t sat down and read all of her books. :(

But starting January 1st that’s all going to change. :)

Remember how I said that I needed help getting out of my rut?? I’ve devised a plan to help me do just that!!

I’m starting my very own Jane Austen Book Club!!

It’ll go something like this:

  • Jan/Feb – Northanger Abbey (meet to discuss Feb 26th)
  • March/April – Sense and Sensibility (meet to discuss April 29th)
  • May/June – Pride and Prejudice (meet to discuss June 24th)
  • July/Aug – Mansfield Park (meet to discuss August 26th)
  • Sept/Oct – Emma (meet to discuss October 28th)
  • Nov/Dec – Persuasion (meet to discuss towards the end of December)

If you live in or around St Louis and would like to join our book club please leave a comment with your email address and I’ll get in touch with you!!

If you don’t live in or around St Louis, but would still like to be involved in the book club then keep reading because I’ll do a post for each book (around the time we meet to discuss) and leave the comment section open for all of my readers to have their own virtual discussion. :)

So go out, get your copy of all these great books and join us in discovering one of the greatest literary talents ever to put pen to paper. :)

A lady’s imagination is very rapid; it jumps from admiration to love, from love to matrimony in a moment. ~ Jane Austen

Love this!! I, too, love Jane Austen and “Pride and Prejudice” is my favorite book too. I mean…one of my dogs is named Darcy! I hope to join in on some of these. Right now I am reading the “Harry Potter” series since I never read them.
