W. I. A. W. (what I ate Wednesday)

It’s been a long day.

It’s actually been a long few days if I’m being honest.

Tonight I just want to finish the laundry, vacuum, pack the lunches, make the coffee, get on pajamas, and snuggle in my bed with the girls and some books.

So tonight – you’re getting a half assed blog post with mostly pictures and nothing really funny and that’s going to have to be enough – tonight. :)

Yoga
I was able to get in 30 minutes of really good yoga and 10 minutes of arms & shoulders well before everyone woke up. It felt great and the rest of the day felt better because of it.

Breakfast
Right after my workout I poured myself the best tasting mug of coffee. I’ve gotten used to only having one a day, but you can bet your ass that I savor that one cup of coffee. I sip it slowly. It’s almost like I’m drinking wine. But coffee is waaaaaaaay better. :)

Then when the coffee was gone and the water was flowing the girls and I sat down to breakfast. It was something different for everyone! Linsey had cereal and a banana. Regan had waffles and a banana. I had one of my infamous yogurt bowls. They are oh so yummy.

Morning Snack
By 11:00 I was having hunger pangs. So I broke out my new favorite granola bar and chowed down before the deli got busy.

Lunch
When the crowds cleared out and no one else was rushing thru the door for their lunch Jason and I got to sit down, just the two of us, and enjoy lunch together. I guess there really are benefits of working with your husband. ;)

I made a HUGH JASS garden salad with spring mix, tomatoes, red onions, cucumbers, banana peppers, pepper jack cheese, half of a hard boiled egg, a black bean burger and a drizzle of honey mustard dressing.

Dinner
By the time the girls and I got home from running errands and dance class everyone was starving. Instead of cooking a real meal we had “a dinner of snacks” and it satisfied everyone. We ate pretzel chips, sugar snap peas and baby carrots with roasted garlic hummus.

Dessert
Yesterday was Linsey’s birthday. She turned 11 years old. Over the course of the day she distributed FOUR dozen cupcakes to her friends at school and her friends at dance. :)

Well – there were six left and tonight the girls and I each had one. I picked the white wedding cake. It was heavenly. I cut the top off to just eat the icing part, but in the end the whole thing needed to be eaten. So I ate it. And I liked it. No – I loved it. HOLY YUM!

If your name is Candace and you’re the winner of the Chobani Champions yogurt giveaway please send me your mailing address so I can pass it along to the lovely people at Chobani.

If I don’t hear from you by tomorrow night I’m going to have to pick another winner. :(

Today I’m thankful for:

…funny customers who like to talk about boobs, pubes and other inappropriate topics

…yoga in the morning

…friends on facebook that I don’t get to see that often

…my peeps on twitter that keep me in “the loop”

…white wedding cake cupcakes

I’m an omnivore, but I’ve recently discovered the joy of throwing a spicy black bean burger onto a “taco” salad, or huevos rancheros. Yum!
