Regan has done a ton of sleeping today. She would wake up for a little while and then fall back to sleep just a quickly. After she ate some cinnamon toast she fell asleep and slept for about three hours. While she was snoozing I got busy cleaning.
The only way I can clean the girls rooms and get rid of stuff is when they’re not home… Or sleeping! So I of course got down to business. Regan’s room was quite a mess!
But when I was finished it was like new again.
You ain’t seen nothin till you see Linsey’s room!!
HOLY Preteen Hot Mess!! I tell you that this girl holds on to everything. If she keeps down this path you’ll be seeing her on Hoarders someday.
But now it looks like an organized, overachiever lives in that very same room…for now anyway.
Good as new. And totally rearranged too!
Shortly after I finished with the bedrooms Regan woke up and was feeling a bit better. She wanted nothing more than to play a game of UNO in my bed. So that’s exactly what we did.
She beat me three times before calling it quits. She was back to sleep in about ten minutes. Poor baby. She looks so miserable and tired and just plain uncomfortable. Thankfully there has been no more throwing up since this morning. WIN!
Once she was sleeping again I did more laundry, cleaned the kitchen, swept the entire house and fed the dogs. I feel so bad that Regan is sick, but I’ve been able to get a lot of things accomplished today.
Now that Linsey’s home, Regan’s up (or resting on the couch at least) and Jason will be home shortly – I’m pretty sure we’re going to have a laid back, low key evening at home with take out and movies on Netflix.
Kraft Milk Bites
I’ve been meaning to do this review for about a week, but things have been so hectic I forgot about it until today (while I was cleaning out the refrigerator) so I guess there’s no time like the present.
I was contacted a few weeks ago by someone at Kraft to do a review of a new product they are launching called Milk Bites. After I agreed I received a box about a week later.
Linsey was dying to try the bars, but I wanted to at least read about them first.
The nutrition facts panel looks alright. I’ve seen better, but I’ve definitely seen worse.
I was given two boxes (each containing five bars) one of the chocolate flavor and one of the strawberry flavor.
Linsey loves both flavors – “They’re cold, chewy, super good and very filling. I love them both! The strawberry ones are delicious which I didn’t expect and of course I loved the chocolate ones.”
I’m not overly impressed with the ingredient label. It’s got rolled oats and milk, but it’s also got a bit of artificial ingredients as well. But when it comes down to it I would rather the girls snack on one of those as opposed to a candy bar.
I haven’t seen them in the grocery store here yet so I don’t know how much they cost, but if the girls ask for them when we’re grocery shopping I will probably indulge them occasionally.
I really wanted to do a giveaway, but for some reason I wasn’t allowed.
Jason should be getting home any minute and then we’ll have to decide on dinner. I hope that you all are having a great Friday night.
Today I’m thankful for:
…being able to take care of my babies when they’re sick
…Jason being able to hang like a pro on the occasion that I can’t make it to work
…living so close to Linsey’s school that I can watch her walk there
…Netflix
…food deliveries!

Sorry to hear Regan is sick. It is going around like a wildfire at my center…yuck! Hope she is all better soon and that nobody catches it. I’ve never seen these Milk Bites either. Do you still have the packaging? If so, what are the allergen warnings? If they ever sell them in our area and they are safe for peanut/tree nut allergic kiddos I may buy them.
